Making Great Pizza Possible—For Everyone
One year ago, I walked away from a career that no longer lit me up. I was burned out, craving more time with my kids and more purpose in my work. So I made a wild move: I became a full-time dad. And somewhere between naps, diaper changes, and snack duty, I found something that changed everything—pizza.
Not just eating it—mastering it.
I stumbled into a world of passionate home pizza-makers turning regular ovens into pizzerias using nothing more than a piece of steel and a few grocery store ingredients. No $1,000 pizza ovens. No culinary degrees. Just technique, consistency, and a whole lot of dough. I was hooked.
At first, it was a hobby. But it quickly became an obsession. I tested every variable—flour, hydration, fermentation, launch angle, oven position—you name it. Every pie was a chance to improve. And soon, it wasn’t just about the pizza. It was about what pizza could do.
Our house turned into the go-to spot for friends, neighbors, and family. Pizza night became a ritual. People gathered. Phones stayed in pockets. Kids ran wild. We laughed, we talked, and we shared damn good pizza. And every time someone asked, “Wait… you made this in a regular oven?” I knew I was onto something.

I want to make pizza-making accessible.
That belief became my mission—and I pushed it further. I set a crazy goal:
Make a pizza every single day until Dave Portnoy tried one.
Not for the fame. But because I wanted to prove something: that a regular person, with regular tools, could make something exceptional.
For 73 days, I documented every pie. Refined every step. Perfected my steel. Dialed in technique. And when Dave finally took a bite, he gave it an 8.1.
“You could 100% get this at a pizzeria—you’d have no idea it came from a home oven.”
That wasn’t the start of the story. It was the validation of everything I’d been working toward.

Now, I’m building a brand rooted in a simple mission:
To bring restaurant-quality pizza to the people.
To make it easy. Approachable. Fun.
To show anyone—yes, even you—that with a standard oven and the right tools, you can make pizza that changes people’s minds. That gathers them. That gives you that “I made this” moment of pride.
This is more than steel.
It’s about connection, confidence, and community, one slice at a time.
